Episode 42 - Ranting With The Devil... Daredevil, That Is

Dave goes on the fanboy rampage, and Marvel is in his sights! Meanwhile, Tony starts off giving props and love to the recent run of Daredevil from Mark Waid. This makes up from the disappointing belly flop that was Shadowland, so fans of hornhead will enjoy this one.

Dave talks about Greg Rucka's Punisher. This isn't the Punisher that you are used to, BUT this one is a fresh approach that still maintains the mood and attitude that Frank Castle brings to the table.

Lastly, Dave happens to be probably the only person NOT to like the recent Avengers vs. X-Men, BUT that's not all folks! Dave rails against the rumored future plans that Marvel has in store for the Marvel Universe. Listen in and hear Dave curse like never before!

Episode 41 - Like A Broken Record...

You know by now that Tony is a BIG Batman fan, right? Well, if you don't, this episode may interest you even more. Tony can't stop but proclaim Batman as THE title to add to your pull list and this week's review covers the "re-introduction" of a long-lost Batman character in a way that may have a lasting effect for Batman in the future.

Meanwhile in Dave's mind, he can't find a satisfying horror comic, but can the most recent "The Strain" from Guillermo Del Toro satisfy his thirst for original horror? Tune in to find out.

The guys also talk about a couple of causes that may interest comic book fanboys and fangirls. Causes that may make you feel even better about yourself.

Lastly, Abnormal Entertainment grows and adds a couple of new podcasts. The boys welcome the new members of the Abnormal family in their own unusual yet sincere way.

Episode 40 - "Image" Is Everything

This week, the boys give homage to that "other" big comic book publisher, Image Comics. Not on purpose though, BUT they review two solid titles. Dave discusses the return of the king, as in Todd McFarlane, as he returns to the title that started it all, Spawn in #220. It's fresh, and Dave hopes that this is a great opportunity for McFarlane to give the masses something new yet something that is definitely Todd McFarlane.

Tony discusses the dream team matchup of Robert Kirkman and Nick Spencer and their creation of Thief Of Thieves. This one is the complete opposite of Spawn: no super-heroes, no super-villains, no super-powers, but like Spawn, solid character and solid story. Don't like super-powered people? This one may be for you.

Dave throws a monkey wrench and calls an audible, meaning that he decided to change the topic for this week and talk about the latest direction that Action Comics is taking with Superman. Tony isn't sure about this one, but Dave insists that it may be very interesting.

All this for the low, low price of FREE! It's The Atomic Fallout Society, the Shamwow of Abnormal Entertainment and comic books in general.

Episode 39 - A New Milestone For The Atomic Fallout Society

According to Dave's calculations (no guarantees), The Atomic Fallout Society podcast has reached 100 followers! We reveal the lucky person who happens to be the 100th person to follow and like The Atomic Fallout Society. Whether or not that's a good thing, that's a different story.

Tony reviews Batman Annual #1 and the new take on a classic Batman villain that definitely has a fresh and interesting perspective. A sign of things to come? Maybe it's about time.

Dave talks about the recent one-shot, B.P.R.D. Hell on Earth: The Transformation of J. H. O'Donnell and how it re-captures the old school feel of a horror story without trying to shock the reader. Regardless, this story will still give you chills.

Lastly, the guys make an important announcement for a future show (recurring guest) and a future taping location (a comic book shop). You'll have to listen to find out the details as well as what the guys felt about the past Phoenix Comicon... that and Dave still has control of the sound drops. Oh well, no one is perfect.
